Cardio-Vascular Immunology is an upcoming research area which relates the Cardiovascular system with the Immune system. The cells involved are known as Cardiovascular cell types which includes Cardiomyocytes, Fibroblasts, Endothelial Cells, Pericytes and Cardiac resident Macrophages. Cardiovascular Immunology plays a major role in the Cardiovascular remodelling and Thrombosis. During Heart Transplantation, The mechanism of Cardio Vascular Immunology has to be understood and based on which the chronic or acute rejection can be detected and diagnosed appropriately.

SESSION #1 Cardiac stem cell Therapy – The Outbreak in the Heart Failure Treatment.
Cardiac Stem cell Therapy is an innovative approach for the treatment of damaged heart tissues. In Cardiac stem Cell therapy, The derived cells are intramyocardially applied to the damaged target tissue in order to replace and regenerate them. Within Few months, the myocardial cells are impacted by the stem cells and thereby improve the contractility of the affected segments. Consequently, this brings a patient’s ejection fraction to normal levels. This Therapy is Highly potential especially in tackling Myocardial Infarction(MI) and Congestive Heart Failure(CHF).
  • Track 1-1 Cardiac Stem Cell Clinical Trials
  • Track 1-2 Cardiac Tissue Regeneration
  • Track 1-3 Challenges of Regenerating Heart
  • Track 1-4 Cardiac Stem Cell Therapy Administration
  • Track 1-5 Stem Cell Treatment for Congestive Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy

Scientists have already proved the presence of medium chain fatty acids in coconut oil and that has been utilized in hospitals to treat Alzheimer, monogenic disorder, brain disorder and also to boost macromolecules, fat, and mineral absorption. Hence it’s a fact that coconut oil consists of saturated fat that raises the good cholesterol level within the body.

A review of epidemiologic studies shows that dietary coconut oil doesn't result in high blood cholesterol and heart diseases. The risk of heart diseases shot up only when some ancient societies replaced this coconut oil with refined vegetable oils.

In Ceylon, coconut and its oil is the chief source of fat for thousands of years. Until the 1980s, despite large amounts of coconut consumption, heart disease rate in that country was the lowest in the world i.e. only 1 out of every 10,000 was suffering from a heart condition. Over the past decade processed vegetable oils have replaced coconut oil, and as a result heart disease rates have also been going up.

Whenever the blood supply to the heart is disturbed, there appear the symptoms of HEART ATTACK, possibly due to a blocked vein. The signs may occur rapidly or even slowly, but it is necessary to prevent the occurrence. This everyday activity can prevent this emergency situation, says NHS.

The Mayo Clinic, based in America, adds that “many studies have shown a connection between gum disease and other serious conditions, including heart disease”.

“Research suggests that periodontitis is associated with an increased risk of developing heart disease and that people with chronic gum disease have increased the thickness of their neck blood vessels.”

However, there is a saying that people with gum disease, caused by poor oral health, are “two to three times more likely to have a heart attack, stroke or other serious cardiovascular events” by the Harvard Medical School. The reason they provide is that gum disease can cause inflammation, leading to a rapid response, which might block the nearby arteries by developing plaques around them.

Hence a routine practice of brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, plus cleaning between your teeth with floss or interdental brushes can prevent all your gum problems and reduce your risk of overall problems such as Heart disease. Follow a routine of brushing your teeth for a full two minutes twice a day with.

OCTOBER - SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST AWARENESS
MONTH!!!

Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the most unexpected and instant cause for natural death in the United States. Unlike other diseases, Cardiac Arrest doesn’t show any prior symptoms before its session. It is said that men are more likely to get affected than women.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest occurs when the heart’s electrical system doesn’t function properly or if the electrical signals are not conducted. This might cause sudden arrhythmia or severe Ventricular Fibrillation thus resulting in a lack of blood supply to other parts of the body.
The above poster represents the First Aid action to be done if any person near you collapses due to a sudden cardiac arrest. Firstly Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation(CPR) is given followed by blowing in their mouth to ease them in breathing. The patient is also treated with a Defibrillator. Once they gain conscious they are taken to the hospital to provide further treatment.
In this October, let us all create awareness regarding the first aid to be done to a person who is subjected to Sudden Cardiac Arrest as each and every human life is precious!!!
