OCTOBER - SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST AWARENESS
MONTH!!!

Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the most unexpected and instant cause for natural death in the United States. Unlike other diseases, Cardiac Arrest doesn’t show any prior symptoms before its session. It is said that men are more likely to get affected than women.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest occurs when the heart’s electrical system doesn’t function properly or if the electrical signals are not conducted. This might cause sudden arrhythmia or severe Ventricular Fibrillation thus resulting in a lack of blood supply to other parts of the body.
The above poster represents the First Aid action to be done if any person near you collapses due to a sudden cardiac arrest. Firstly Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation(CPR) is given followed by blowing in their mouth to ease them in breathing. The patient is also treated with a Defibrillator. Once they gain conscious they are taken to the hospital to provide further treatment.
In this October, let us all create awareness regarding the first aid to be done to a person who is subjected to Sudden Cardiac Arrest as each and every human life is precious!!!
