Whenever the blood supply to the heart is disturbed, there appear the symptoms of HEART ATTACK, possibly due to a blocked vein. The signs may occur rapidly or even slowly, but it is necessary to prevent the occurrence. This everyday activity can prevent this emergency situation, says NHS.

The Mayo Clinic, based in America, adds that “many studies have shown a connection between gum disease and other serious conditions, including heart disease”.

“Research suggests that periodontitis is associated with an increased risk of developing heart disease and that people with chronic gum disease have increased the thickness of their neck blood vessels.”

However, there is a saying that people with gum disease, caused by poor oral health, are “two to three times more likely to have a heart attack, stroke or other serious cardiovascular events” by the Harvard Medical School.
